Впервые я столкнулась с этим словом, когда я начала работать, и мне выдали такую увесистую книженцию Datenschutz на немецком, которую необходимо было изучить перед тем, как включать компьютер. Конечно, как настоящий русский человек, который пропускает Terms and Conditions, и просто ставит галочку онлайн, я мысленно так и сделала с Datenschutz, и приступила к работе. After 2,5 months in Berlin I have collected numerous impressions which I am willing to share with you.  За 2,5 месяца в Берлине у меня накопилось множество впечатлений, которыми я не могу не поделиться. Наверное, глобальный культурный шок (об опыте моего культурного шока в другой стране вы можете прочесть здесь) на меня уже так не действует после множества переездов в другие страны: повышается твоя адаптивность к многим важным моментам начала новой жизни. Однако, некоторые бытовые моменты меня ввергали в ступор, а ведь я в Германии жила до этого целый год. I may agitate for not-growing-too-deep-roots lifestyle to have a freedom of movement around the world and say that you are everything you need to go and live somewhere. Who did you want to be when you were a child? A cosmonaut, a singer, an actor, an artist? Has it come true in adult life? Kudos to you if you managed to hold on to your childhood dream at least remotely. For sure, I didn’t know that I would be a marketer. Not only did I not have a clue about this word back then but I am pretty sure it didn’t exist in post-soviet Russian reality. However, today I am going to tell you about the opposite effect – “reverse culture shock“ when it is difficult to integrate into the life of your home country after a long time of being abroad. Thank you, Facebook, for nostalgia: this morning I got a reminder about my first working day 5 years ago on my first full-time job from 9 to 6 (I had only internships or part-time projects before that). Intitiation into my adulthood took place far away from my home – in Germany. I worked at the online dictionary for 25 languages as a content-marketer in a fully international team at the centre of atmospheric Hamburg.

Looking back now, I understand that a lot of my first times of adulthood happened to me when I was abroad. It is no surprise here as I have worked and studied in 3 countries (Germany, Russia, Britain), 5 cities over the last 5 years and I cannot even count how many places of accommodation I changed. Спасибо Facebook за ностальгию: утром я получила напоминание о том, что 5 лет назад был мой первый рабочий день на первой полноценной работе с 9 до 6 в моей жизни (до этого были либо временные стажировки, либо неполные рабочие дни). Посвящение во взрослую рабочую жизнь у меня происходило далеко от дома -  в Германии. Я работала в онлайн-словаре для 25 языков контент-маркетологом в полностью интернациональной команде в центре атмосферного Гамбурга.
